Hello everyone and Happy New Year!

When I was little, I never thought about ten, thirty, fifty years in the future, did you? And now, it's 2026!!!! Goodness me.

Tick tock -- the end of the year is creeping closer and closer. Am I ready? Yep - pretty much. I have my schedule more or less organized for the first 6 months. WAIT --- that's at least as far as the things that I can control go. I have a couple of lectures to add and am just waiting on a response from someone before I schedule them. That's the sessions on scrap quilts. There will be one in February and one in March, so that's not an overly onerous addition to the schedule, and the prep time should ...

That feels better—I was off bright and early to meet with Brooke. My legs have been so tired since my last trip, but after my stretching and compression pants, they feel so much better! 

Well, I am loving this relaxed schedule and certainly want to take advantage of it for as long as I can! I have two trips, a quilt retreat, and one guild lecture to round out the last two months of the year, so that should be pretty easy. This video is about a junk journal that has a bunch of space to write or even do some drawing. With spring close, this is a great journal to get out in nature and do something fun.

I'm back with another junk journal project and also another practice run with the video making and uploading or is it downloading?!

So one of my girlfriends gave me several vintage type photos to play around with. Here's what I have done so far. I'm thinking this one would be great for a couple on their honeymoon or someone on a romantic vacation to place their little mementos as keepsakes.

 Good grief! Where have I been all this time? Well allow me to attempt to sum it up.....one word comes to mind......L A Z Y !

Yep, I've been extremely lazy, binge watching Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Peacock, Tubi and many more. I'm so ashamed to admit it but it's true.  But now I'm sort of back.

I've done no sewing but have picked up a new hobby.......junk journaling, which is a type of scrapbook making. I think I've shown you all this type of thing before but ......  Let me show you ...

 Hi everyone!! For the moment, I'm out of the hay fields!! Shhhhhhh, don't cheer to loudly, we wouldn't want Mr. Cowboy to hear. BTW, it gets to around 103 degrees here in central Texas each day. What about where you live? I'm drinking water like it's going out of style.  But enough about that.

I'm back to junk journaling when I can find the time. here's some of my latest venture.

Hi everyone! Well, it's been a very long time since I've posted. Good grief, where did the time go?!

I've been quite busy doing all sort of things. I'll do a show and tell to show what's been going on in my life.

 Let's get into it.......

I have so many junk journals made with all junk papers, signatures, handmade covers from cracker boxes, self bound etc . But now my life has changed and I need to record more memories and say more things as I am away from my grand children and I want to remember them and make sure they remember me!  So I have decided to put away all the supplies and embellishments and focus on the writing part more than the creating part of Journal. Plus, I have made them each 2 junk journals, so they have those to write in themselves so ...

I got tired of writing in a "junk journal".. or maybe I should say it just became to much to deal with to write in one with all the embellishments and decorative things. and the book not opening flat for writing on the pages and a few other issues. So in my new endeavor of branching out from "junk journaling" to just writing down  thoughts, memories, ideas etc, I found a new style of decorating pages. I made this Junk Journal for my 8 year old grand daughter that is an outdoorsey kid.
